The Check Is Not In The Mail

The White House budget office has ordered a pause in grants, loans and other federal financial assistance.

This isn’t surprising. It was part of the Project 2025 playbook if you had bothered to read it. If not, the joke is on you. This will certainly gum up, delay, and cause chaos for millions of Americans who depend on federal spending for their livelihoods, disaster relief, education.

But that’s not the only reason for the halt. It also becomes a tool for control and punishment. The people deciding which funds to “unfreeze“ will use that power to give out favors and coerce. There will be strings attached to everything.

Sure, a few programs that were legitimate waste will be stopped and those examples will be cherry picked all over Fox News. But there will be far more good babies thrown out with the bath water. Good luck, suckers! This is what you voted for.
